Who is eligible for TTD VIP Break Darshan?

In 2026, TTD has made significant changes to the eligibility system, making VIP Break Darshan more accessible to ordinary devotees while tightening rules for dignitaries.

Who is eligible for TTD VIP Break Darshan?

If you are planning a pilgrimage to Tirumala, you have likely heard about VIP Break Darshan — the fastest and most peaceful way to have darshan of Lord Venkateswara. But one question tops every devotee's mind: Am I eligible for VIP Break Darshan?

The short answer is yes — but the pathway depends on who you are. In 2026, TTD has made significant changes to the eligibility system, making VIP Break Darshan more accessible to ordinary devotees while tightening rules for dignitaries.

Let us break down every eligibility category so you know exactly where you stand.

Quick Answer: Three Main Pathways

Pathway Who Can Access Cost
Srivani Trust Donation Any devotee ₹10,500 per person
Protocol VIP Darshan Constitutional authorities only ₹500 per person
Recommendation Letter Those with official letters from MPs, MLAs, judges ₹500 per person

To understand how these pathways compare, read our guide on what is the difference between VIP Darshan and Break Darshan.

Pathway 1: Srivani Trust Donation – Open to All Devotees

The Srivani Trust donation route is the most accessible and transparent way for ordinary devotees to get VIP Break Darshan. This pathway is open to any devotee — no political connections, no recommendation letters, and no special status required.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Make a minimum donation of ₹10,000 to the Sri Venkateswara Alaya Nirmana (SRIVANI) Trust
  • Pay an additional ₹500 darshan ticket fee
  • Total cost: ₹10,500 per person

What You Get

  • VIP Break Darshan with minimal waiting time (approximately 1 to 1.5 hours total)
  • Peaceful darshan experience without crowd pushing
  • One Small Laddu as prasadam
  • An 80G certificate for income tax exemption on your donation

2026 Update: Dedicated Donor Quota

Starting June 10, 2026, TTD has introduced a significant change that benefits Srivani Trust donors. From the 800 daily current-booking tickets, TTD now reserves 300 tickets exclusively for devotees who have already contributed ₹10,000 to the Srivani Trust.

Key details of this dedicated quota:

  • Eligibility: Donations made on or after May 1, 2025
  • Release time: Daily at 9 AM
  • Booking deadline: Bookings must be completed before 1 PM
  • Darshan time: Same day at 4 PM
  • Validity: Until March 31, 2027
  • Unbooked tickets: If tickets remain unclaimed, they are added back to the general current-booking quota

For a complete breakdown of this pricing structure, read our guide on how much does VIP Break Darshan cost.

Family Booking Rules

One ₹10,000 donation qualifies only one person. However, TTD allows you to book for up to four family members in a single transaction (1 lead + 3 members). Each member still needs their own ₹10,000 donation.

For a detailed explanation of these per-person rules, read our guide on how many people are allowed on a ₹10,000 TTD Break Darshan ticket.

Children Under 12

Children below 12 years can accompany a ticket-holding adult free of charge with valid age proof. Children above 12 require a separate ₹10,500 booking.

Pathway 2: Protocol VIP Darshan – Reserved for Constitutional Authorities

This pathway is reserved for the highest-level dignitaries and is not available for public booking.

Who Qualifies

  • Chief Ministers, Ministers, and Government Officials
  • Supreme Court and High Court Judges
  • IAS, IPS, and Senior Bureaucrats
  • TTD Board Members

How It Works

  • Requests are processed through the TTD Joint Executive Officer office
  • Applications must be submitted in advance
  • Biometric verification is mandatory
  • Darshan is accompanied by TTD officials and is meant only for personal visits

Cost

₹500 per person (ticket fee only)

2026 Update: Personal Visit Only

TTD has implemented a major change in 2026. VIP Break Darshan will only be given to VIPs who come by themselves. Companions or entourage members may no longer automatically qualify.

Pathway 3: Recommendation Letter – For Those with Official Letters

This pathway allows access through official recommendation letters from authorised public representatives.

Who Can Issue a Recommendation Letter

  • MPs and MLAs (from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana)
  • Judges
  • Other approved authorities

How It Works

  1. Obtain a recommendation letter on the official letterhead of the authorised representative
  2. Submit the letter in person at the TTD office — online submission is not permitted
  3. Each letter allows a limited number of devotees
  4. Approval is subject to availability and verification
  5. Darshan is generally not available on peak days

Cost

₹500 per person (ticket fee only)

Important 2026 Restrictions

TTD has suspended VIP Break Darshans based on recommendation letters during several periods in 2026. Additionally, on the day preceding festival dates, VIP recommendation letters will not be accepted, except for Protocol Dignitaries.

Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities, and Parents with Infants

Special darshan privileges for these categories will remain temporarily suspended during the Brahmotsavams.
